Raw Editions started with my own love for journaling and scrapbooking. I’ve always loved doing both physically, but I often felt like I had to choose between the two. Journaling was where I could quickly get my thoughts down, while scrapbooking was where I could be creative. Combining the two in a physical journal was much more time consuming.

When I started journaling digitally, that completely changed. I could write as fast as I think, add photos, decorate pages and scrapbook as I went. For the first time, journaling and scrapbooking felt like one thing, and I became completely obsessed with it.

As a graphic designer, I naturally started creating my own journals and visual worlds to go with them. Every new one felt like a little reset. Something fresh to set up, get inspired by and make my own. I started doing this every month and realized that having a new world to look forward to was what actually helped me stick to journaling.

That’s where the idea for Raw Editions came from. I wanted to create that same monthly reset for other people. Every month, I design a completely new Edition with its own visual world and all the pieces to make it your own. Everything is designed to work together, but how you put it together is completely up to you.
